IOWA DEPARTMENT OF NATURAL RESOURCES

Many environmental impairments identified by Brownfield assessments do not require involving regulatory agencies. Experience shows that of those properties that do have regulatory agency involvement, most come to reside within state regulatory programs rather than federal jurisdiction. Within the state, issues of environmental impairment are managed by the Iowa Department of Natural Resources (IDNR). The following are some Sections within the IDNR Environmental Protection Division with programs that involve the Pilot study.
